.XESC or Expression Encoder Screen Capture File is a file created when you screen capture or screen record the activity that you did in your computer. For example, if you wanted to make a tutorial about something inside your computer, you can record it to exactly show your viewers or audience how you do it. .XESC is a file extension of every Microsoft Expression screen records that you created. You can basically use Windows Media Player to play it. You can also use GOM or VLC to play this type of file extension.

After you played it, now is the time to upload it online so that your viewers can see your actual tutorial. Let's say you wanted to upload it on Youtube. The problem is, .XESC file is very large and it will take some time to be uploaded. The next step to do is to convert it first to .MP4 file format which is basically the default video type in Youtube.

There are some online websites offering free conversion service of XESC to MP4 that you can try but for this tutorial, I will use an offline application to convert XESC file.

NEEDED:

a. Any Video Converter Version 6.1.9

STEPS:

1. Download and install first your Any Video Converter 6.1.9

2. After installing it download this file to activate it.

3. Open your AVC and drag and drop the XESC file that you want to convert inside it. See below.

4. In the "Select output profile" click "Customized MP4 Movie (*.mp4), and then click the "Convert Now" button.

5. Just wait for the conversion process to finish. The bigger your XESC file is the longer the conversion. So if your file is small then it will be finished in a flash.

6. When the XESC to MP4 file conversion is finished an output folder containing your MP4 file will automatically appear.

7. Done!
